Cane Rosso at Ronald McDonald House
We were brimming with excitement about our first-ever event at the Ronald McDonald House in Houston. We had planned to have a face painter, superhero characters, craft activities and a fantastic lunch provided by Cane Rosso. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic prompted a change in plans. After discussing the situation with Dipti, the activity coordinator at the Ronald McDonald House, we decided to cancel our event for the best interest of the children and their families. Nevertheless, Dipti communicated that lunch was still in high need.
After my phone call with Dipti, I called the manager at Cane Rosso. Without hesitation, he said that Cane Rosso still wanted to provide lunch, especially now when a delicious, nutritious meal is in such high need.
On March 11th, we bought refreshments, paper goods and flatware and drove to Cane Rosso to pick up the pizzas. Cane Rosso's lunch was enjoyed by 80 children and their families. We at For A Day are extremely grateful to Cane Rosso for their kindness and generosity in providing an amazing lunch. We also want to take a moment to express our appreciation to our loyal sponsors: Global, Elite Care 24 Hour Emergency Center, Goldfish Swimming School, Smile Sonrisa Dental, Cane Rosso, California Pizza Kitchen, and Churrasqueria & Food Truck.
From our families to yours, we wish everyone good health and personal safety during this unprecedented global crisis.
