October 25 - Monroe Carrell Jr Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt

This is the party summary for our party October 25, 2018.

We had 9 boys in attendance.  Our Firefighters from Engine 16 were able to join us.  They were treated to hats from Love your Melon, and goodies from the party favor table.  We also had several that enjoyed putting on the equipment and gear that the firefighters bring.  This shows the children that if they were ever in a fire, that seeing them in all the gear will be less scary.

Again The Tutu Ladies made a great day of passing out tutus, capes and mask and as always puts smiles on girls and boys faces.

We had 14 little girls that were greeted by special guests Tinkerbell & Elena of Avalor, compliments of The Wishes Foundation.  Always a fun time visiting and listening to all the comments and questions the kids have these ladies.    Also, in attendance was Miss Williamson Co. Machalia Bennett, and Miss Gallatin, Chloe Hubbard. We had two first time volunteers today, Stacy Wheeler Loftis, and Stacey Harper, they both did a fabulous job.  Look forward to having them back real soon.

Girls were treated with nail polish, lipstick, party favors and a crown that is donated from girls competing in pageants on both the local and national levels.

Once all nails and lips are painted, crowns selected and tutus on, the girls have a picture taken with the Princesses and firefighters.

We also were able to send 10 goodie bags with party favors, lip stick, nail polish and a crown for those ones that were unable to attend the event.

It is so precious to watch these children meet their heroes, make believe (which they don’t realize that just yet) and some real live heroes that impact our lives daily.  These events would not be the same without these people helping to make sweet children believe in fairytales.

So a HUGE thank you to all the volunteers that devote their precious time to put huge smiles on these precious children faces if only for an hour, the memories made in that hour will last a lifetime.

This is our last event for the 2018 year!  Great memories and so many fun times. It never gets old watching smiles and listening to giggles for these kids.  Thank you again for all of the many volunteers, I could not make this happen without you guys. Can’t wait for next year!!
