For 10 wonderful years For A Day has been going to Camp Quality North to help get all the campers ready for their annual Friday night dance. We had 23 girls and 27 boys come to our event in the Lake Ann dining hall where we had professional hair dressers doing beautiful updo’s, braids and the ever popular pink and blue spray for their hair and heads. Some of our little guys went crazy for the spiked/colored hair! The kids were treated like royalty by Shannon Kochis and her talented hair team: Melissa, Mandy, Victoria Tilley, Sarah Rousseau and Rachel Duffy. Thanks girls for making this part of the event so fun for the girls and guys. It always amazes me how these young hairdressers can do a completely up-do in no time!
Catie Glossmann headed up the makeup team and worked alongside Audrey and Haley Burtraw and Rachel Townsend. You girls really dolled them up! Ruth Anderson along with Lisa Formberg, Becky Johnson and Jenny Burtraw worked the manicure table. I think they had just as many boys as girls come to their table!! Sue Cole brought up all the goodies for our most popular craft of cookie decorating. Melody Hulten helped to keep the chaos to a minimum at this station ~ hard with all that sugar flowing!
Ron Hormel and Tobias Glossmann joined us again this year doing tattoos ~ some kids walked away with “sleeves”. LOL!
Thanks Victoria for bringing goodie bags for ALL the kids and a big shout out to the Bottomless Toy Chest for donating small goodies to add to these gift bags.
All of these helping hands, happy hearts and generous donations made for a fabulous time for all the Camp Quality campers. Thanks everyone!! I couldn’t have done it without you.
