Fun Day For A Day was our first fundraising event in Houston. It was such an exhilarating afternoon! The guests had a great time while raising money and spread awareness about the For A Day Foundation.

Thanks to all the ladies on the Local Advisory Committee for organizing this wonderful fundraiser and special thanks to Vivian Almeida for opening her home to the guests and hosting this very special event.

California Pizza Kitchen catered the event by delivering delicious, savory sandwiches, kettle chips, cookies, and decadent brownies.

Local business donors showed their support for the For a Day mission by providing some of the prizes for our fun afternoon!

The Houston Natural Science Museum price donated 4 general admission tickets and a $20.00 discount for Family Membership.

Museum of Fine Arts donated two general admission tickets.

Kendra Scott donated two gorgeous jewelry pieces.

Bonjour Brigadeiro donated a voucher for the best brigadeiro in town! (The brigadeiro is a traditional Brazilian dessert. It is made of condensed milk, cocoa powder, butter, and chocolate sprinkles covering the outside layer.)

SouthStar Herbal Products donated a gift basket laden with amazing products from SouthStar Herbal Products.

Lot Z donated spectacular jewelry pieces plus the cutest jewelry pouches.

Nova Derma donated a facial gift certificate.

BRLZN donated one of their beautiful handbags.

Hiatus Spa + Retreat donated a voucher redeemable for The One and Only Mani + Pedi, The Signature Massage, The Tailor Made Facial, The Body Glow or the Body Wrap.

At the end, over $1500 was raised to allow us to continue turning children’s hospital treatment days to fun days, as well as provide more Family Experience Days for children with cancer and other serious illnesses.

Many of our guests did not know about our mission and background, and they loved learning more about the For A Day Foundation at Fun Day for A Day.
