Trunk or Treat, Octover 2016, Peachtree Dunwoody & Gatewood Ronald McDonald Houses
Approx. 30 kids
This was our first time hosting this program at the Peachtree Dunwoody property. It went over very well and I think most of the kids in the house participated.
We had a western themed trunk, pirate, Monsters Inc., and Superhero. We had totes for the kids which is something we built on from years past and candy to fill them with. We also gave out petite pumpkins.
We had books for the older kids and the blankets which are always a hit. We also had a speaker with Halloween music which was new this year and a festive touch.
At Gatewood, this was our second time hosting this program at this property. Most children from the property attended along with their siblings and parents. One little girl, Peyton, is a repeat FAD event attendee and one little boy was also present at the following Winter Wonderland event.
I was very happy to see a familiar face or two. Repeats are always fun and show we had a successful series of events. The activities were a real hit and the kids enjoyed all the candy as well as the costumes we gave out. Even though the sun went down early and it was rather dark, the kids had fun and stayed for the majority of the time slot. Stuffed monsters and blankets were a favorite handout.
