A few days before Christmas, on December 21st, Kaleo was able to enjoy a Family Experience Day with his family. California Pizza Kitchen invited Kaleo and his family to an amazing dinner with dessert. After dinner the family went to the Houston Zoo where, thanks to our donors and sponsors, they took in the wondrous sights at Zoo Lights.

Kaleo's father wrote:

"These are great people!!! Not only did they show up to MD Anderson and bring some joy to my son and the other kids, they also arranged a nice dinner for us at California Pizza Kitchen and a free trip to take Kaleo to Houston Zoo Lights!!! It was our first real outing as a family in over a year and it was a very special evening. We are so thankful and appreciative of all that was done for our family."

“For a Day is an amazing organization that has helped our family personally enjoy a fun day during the holidays! They gave us dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and tickets to the Houston Zoo Lights! It was a magical night and experience for our family and especially for our son who has been fighting cancer for over a year. He had a blast and so did we! Thank you so much for all you do for families like us!”

We are so happy to be able to provide and arrange Family Experiences for families who have children with cancer and other serious illnesses. It is our hope that through these Family Experiences they can have a chance to create beautiful memories!
